1 cup rolled oats

1 cup milk (your preferred type)

1/4 cup water

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons chia seeds

1/4 cup mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, strawberries)

1 tablespoon maple syrup (optional)

Instructions

Combine dry ingredients: In a small bowl, combine the rolled oats, chia seeds, and salt.

Add liquids: Pour the milk and water into the bowl and stir to combine.

Cook: Transfer the mixture to a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the oats and chia seeds are tender and the mixture has thickened.

Stir in toppings: Remove from heat and stir in the mixed berries and maple syrup (if desired).

Serve: Serve immediately, topped with additional berries, nuts, or a sprinkle of cinnamon.
